IBFAN, the International Baby Food Action Network along with the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), will organize the Conference as a part of their joint initiative; the Global Breastfeeding Initiative for Child Survival (gBICS), a worldwide civil society-driven initiative (supported by Norad and Sida) to accelerate progress in attaining the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015, through the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding.
IBFAN, established in 1979, consists of about 200 public interest groups working around the world to reduce infant and young child morbidity and mortality. IBFAN aims to improve the health and well-being of babies and young children, their mothers and their families through the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding and optimal infant feeding practices. IBFAN works for universal and full implementation of the International Code and Resolutions. IBFAN is the recipient of the 1998 Right Livelihood Award.
WABA, established in 1992, is a global network of individuals and organisations concerned with the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding worldwide, along with its core partners.

OUR ETHICAL POLICY
